CASA Gala Celebrates Five Years Serving ChildrenLANCASTER, PA (October 2, 2014) - Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County is hosting the Fifth Annual Heroes Gala and Benefit Auction on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Bent Creek Country Club in Lititz, PA.
"We’re excited to be celebrating five years serving the children of Lancaster County who are in foster care.” stated Jessica Laspino, Executive Director. "I am continually encouraged by the philanthropic nature of the community. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our friends, donors, and volunteers to support CASA and help grow and advance the organization.”
CASA's Heroes Gala and Benefit Auction is an evening devoted to fine food, dancing, and fun while raising awareness of volunteer advocacy for the abused and neglected children of Lancaster County.
WGAL’s Meredith Jorgensen will emcee the event.
CASA will honor Brenneman Printing, Inc. as the organizational recipient of the "Hero in the Life of a Child” award for their long-term and generous commitment to CASA in the community. The individual recipient for the "Hero in the Life of a Child” award is a local couple who have opened their home to countless foster children.
At the event, CASA will name the Clark Family Foundation Volunteer of the Year. The recipient is a CASA volunteer nominated by professional child welfare colleagues as having ideally demonstrated the principles of child advocacy.
Throughout the evening, guests participate in both silent and live auctions vying for goods and services primarily from local vendors. Items available for bid include:

CASA provides court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children with the belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.
