CASA of Lancaster County Hires Development Director
Lancaster, PA (May 7, 2013) - CASA of Lancaster County recently welcomed Wanda Stoltzfus as their Director of Development and Communications. Ms. Stoltzfus is responsible for working with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure the health of the organization’s revenue as well as increase public awareness and promote perception of the organization. CASA provides court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children in the belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.
"Wanda’s background in corporate project management coupled with her inherent skills in communications makes her not only an ideal fit for this position, but a true asset to CASA. We are so excited to have her on board with us,” stated Ms. Jessica Laspino, Executive Director. Ms. Stoltzfus, of Lancaster, comes to CASA with a varied corporate background which includes global project management, quality consulting, change leadership, coaching and business planning. She most recently worked for Agilent Technologies, Inc. as a Global Project Manager. Prior to that, she was a Technical Customer Service Specialist for Hewlett-Packard.
After 17 years in the corporate environment, Ms. Stoltzfus invested herself in local community, non-profit and volunteer efforts. Her desire to speak for those with no voice and her drive to impact the community brought her to CASA. "I remember with distinction the first time I heard about CASA several years ago. Unfortunately, at that time there were no active local opportunities. However, I did not and could not forget the idea of court appointed special advocates to speak for children in need. And now, I’m honored to be affiliated with such a quality organization.”, said Stoltzfus.
Ms. Stoltzfus holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC and has completed various masters level business courses.
