CASA Hosts Awareness Sessions
Lancaster, PA (July 19, 2013) – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County is providing you an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child who has suffered abuse and neglect. Join us on Wednesday, August 14 at First Presbyterian Church, 140 East Orange Street, in Lancaster PA. CASA will be hosting a session at 12:00 pm and a second session at 6:00 pm. The sessions are free and open to the public.
CASA will present not only the mission and vision of the organization, but address common myths that surround children in foster care and discuss how you can lift up a child’s voice, a child’s life.
Come see audiovisual testimony from youth who have had an active child advocate in their lives during their childhood. As children, these young adults were touched by CASA and will share the long term impact of having a qualified, compassionate adult fight for and protect their right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family.
Executive Director, Jessica Laspino stated, "We are excited about providing the community this opportunity to learn more about CASA of Lancaster County and how we impact your neighborhood. CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation to children – the right to grow up in a safe, permanent and nurturing home.”
The sessions are free of charge and open to the public. RSVP is required due to limited seating. We know how important your time is and our program will not exceed 60 minutes. To reserve your seat, please contact CASA by calling (717)208-3280 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
