CASA Welcomes Two New Staff Members
LANCASTER, PA (Dec 8, 2015) – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County is pleased to welcome both Brian Klugh and Bonnie Northeimer to the staff. Mr Klugh is CASA’s newest Volunteer Manager; Ms. Northeimer is the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator.
Mr. Klugh started with CASA as a volunteer advocate in 2013 and became a Peer Coordinator in 2014. He is a McCaskey High School graduate and earned his BS degree in Public Policy from Penn State University. His professional background includes a career in firefighting, working in stress/crisis management, mentoring and volunteering. Mr. Klugh says, “I welcome the opportunity to continue helping people at a grass roots level.”
Ms. Northeimer graduated from Ephrata Senior High School and earned her BA in Psychology from Millersville University. With a desire to give back to the community, she made the decision to serve with AmeriCorps VISTA as CASA’s Marketing and Outreach Coordinator. According to Ms. Northeimer, “I’m glad to be helping at a nonprofit that advocates for abused and neglected children – it’s a noble cause.”
Jessica Laspino, Executive Director of CASA of Lancaster County says, “We are excited to be able to expand on the strengths of our program through our new staff members.”
CASA of Lancaster County provides court appointed volunteer advocacy for children of abuse and neglect in the belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. CASA volunteers believe that growing up in a safe home is a fundamental human right.
