CASA Advocates Demonstrate Gratitude and Giving Year-Round
LANCASTER, PA (November 5, 2017) – There is much to be grateful for this
Thanksgiving. Each and every day, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County, is thankful for the individuals who volunteer their time and energy advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children.
The CASA program could not exist without our wonderful volunteers, but occasionally
we have volunteers who go beyond their primary role of helping the most vulnerable children of this community. Over the past 10 months, CASA volunteers and supporters have pitched-in to help CASA by: attending speaking engagements, running a booth at the San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival, YWCA Humanity Fest, and Gifts That Give Hope alternative gift fair, assisting with the Annual GALA and Benefit Auction and the CASA Annual Conference. Additionally, volunteers have hosted information sessions in their churches, book clubs at their libraries, and presentations at their HOA clubhouses. One CASA lent us training space at their place of business. Many other CASA friends and supporters have donated their time, energy, and talents helping us provide a brighter future for Lancaster County’s most vulnerable children.
Our CASA volunteers have been out there representing our program tirelessly. Their
dedication to improving the safety and well-being of children is clear to everyone who meets them. CASA Advocates are providing a critical service to children going through incredibly difficult situations, are you ready to join this amazing group of citizen-volunteers?
