CASA will be offering awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age group. There will also be awards given for Best Individual Costume, Best Family/Group Costume, and Best Children’s Costume.
The SuperHero 5K is a fast, flat course and runs through local neighborhoods before returning to Landisville Middle School. New to the race this year are team registrations and an adaptive equipment division.
Following the 5K is a Kids Fun Run. Children 3 to 10 run age appropriate distances.
Before and after the race enjoy a fun and FREE family festival with games and activities including a bounce house, face painting, and a balloon artist.
“The SuperHero theme of this event makes it a unique 5K. With the Kids Fun Run and family festival it is really a great day for the whole family,” stated Jessica Laspino, Executive Director of CASA of Lancaster.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County exists to provide a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to every child who is abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met. CASA works with Lancaster County’s most vulnerable youth – those who have experienced abuse and neglect so severe that they have been removed from their homes and placed into the foster care system.
