Dutchland Rollers Skate for Kids
LANCASTER, PA (October 16, 2014) – The Dutchland Derby Rollers are donating a portion of their November 15 home bout ticket sales to CASA of Lancaster County. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the action starts at 6:00 pm at the Overlook Activities Center (301 Golf Drive, Lancaster, PA).
This is the Dutchland Rollers’ sixth and final doubleheader home bout of the season. On Saturday, November 15, come out and enjoy two exciting bouts of derby action. Your attendance will help provide advocates for Lancaster County children in foster care and give a child a voice.
The Dutchland All-Stars will be taking on the Penn Jersey Roller Derby Hooligans – an all-male derby team from Philadelphia, PA. Competing with a male team is a unique and first time adventure for the Dutchland Rollers. In bout two, the Dutchland Blitz will be skating against the Shore Points Roller Derby from Hammonton, NJ.
You can purchase tickets for the November 15 bout online at www.dutchlandrollers.com or at the door prior to the event.
Dutchland Rollers derby member Stacey "Dunna Vetta” Sockel stated, "Not only do Dutchland skaters pride themselves on becoming the best women of flat-track roller derby we can be, but we care deeply about our community at large. In seven years of charity service, we have donated $27,000 and countless volunteer hours to charities that are near and dear to our hearts.”
"CASA is delighted to be selected as a Dutchland Rollers charity partner for this season. I’m impressed that they approached us with the offer of a working partnership – it’s indicative of their commitment to the community.” stated Jessica Laspino, CASA Executive Director.
