Molly Curtis Memorial Softball Tournament to Benefit CASA
LANCASTER, PA (July 12, 2018) – The 7th Annual Molly Curtis Memorial Softball Tournament is returning to Clipper Magazine stadium on Sunday, August 12th at 1pm, but this time the event will be raising money and awareness for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County. The tournament is named in honor of Molly Curtis, daughter of Lancaster County Prison Corrections Officer Jason Curtis, who passed away at a young age due to epilepsy. The four different Lancaster County department employees participating are Lancaster County Prison, Adult Probation and Parole, the Youth Intervention Center and the Sheriff’s Department. This family-friendly annual event will feature raffles, games, and fun for kids of all ages! There will be clowns, face painting, firetrucks, and food provided by Fat Pigs at the brickyard.
Spend an afternoon at the ballpark enjoying some healthy competition and supporting community volunteers who stand up and speak out to help abused and neglected children. CASA of Lancaster are volunteers for children in foster care. The organization’s mission is to provide a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to every child who is abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met.
