CASA volunteers are there for our children
Shouldn't we always be looking out for our children's best interest?
What if their parent or guardian is unable to do so? What if through no fault of their own, children who have first suffered abuse and neglect, are taking from their familiar surroundings and thrust into a new and constantly changing world of caseworkers, foster parents, new classmates, and the courts.
CASA volunteers are there for our children, to lift up a their voices, their lives and ensure that their best interest is met.
There are over 700 children in Lancaster County that could benefit from a CASA volunteer and we are only able to serve just over a hundred. That means that there are still hundreds of children, just in our county, that desperately need a committed, trained, and compassionate adult that is there just for them.
It means that there are hundreds of children without the hope that a CASA volunteer can provide. We will continue to grow our program in Lancaster County until every single one of our children has a CASA advocate.
We still need your help. Donate Today!
Our CASA volunteer advocates give constantly of themselves to help a vulnerable child. Our volunteers come to us from all walks of life with a plethora of life experiences, but every single one wants to help a child and make a difference.
In ways that are not always obvious, our volunteers work to make sure a child's life is better because they were in it. They commit to a minimum of 18 months, they donate their time, their energies, and their compassion all the while driving hundreds of miles to make a visit, spending hours in court waiting for their opportunity to testify, and always putting the needs of the child first.
